ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL QA YEAR
 |
Bluefin has been a quality certified company (to ISO 9001:2000 standards) since August 2007. After another successful external audit in August 2008, our certification has been confirmed by SAI Global. Bluefin’s comprehensive Quality Management System continues to provide the basis for a consistent and customer focused service. |

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
Bluefin takes its obligations to act as a good corporate citizen seriously, and to this end works toward ongoing improvement in this regard. Bluefin’s successful participation in its client Westpac’s Sustainable Supply Chain Management program was recently profiled on Westpac’s website – to view, click on the following link: http://www.westpac.com.au/internet/publish.nsf/Content/WICRSC+SSCM+CaseStudies
Environmental Performance
Bluefin’s initiatives toward improving its Environmental performance include its switch to using 75% Greenpower for all of its electricity usage.
In addition, Bluefin also maintains a policy of purchasing paper that is a minimum 80% recycled. Paper is further reused within the office and where possible, other items such as toner cartridges are also recycled.
Social Performance
Bluefin believes that as a good corporate citizen, it should promote the interests of community and charity. Staff are encouraged and supported in their participation in charity events, such as the MS Gong ride, the RSPCA’s Happy Tails Day and Movember. Each year, Bluefin selects a charity for the purchase of corporate Christmas cards, and in 2007 Camp Quality was the selected charity.
Bluefin has adopted a “charity day” policy that allows all staff to devote one day per year on full pay to provide voluntary services to the charity of their choice.
Health & Safety
Bluefin believes that the health and safety of its staff and contractors is a priority. All Bluefin staff have a full ergonomic assessment on commencement, conducted by specialist consultants. In addition, further advice and information is provided on an ongoing basis. Contractors are also provided with comprehensive guidelines for a safe working environment and procedures to follow in the event of a workplace incident.
